Christmas Recap

We had such a great Christmas this year. It was fun to spend time as a family. This was the first Christmas we stayed home and woke up in our own beds on Christmas morning. Our parents stayed with us this Christmas and of course the kids loved it. Cody had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas but we still spent Christmas morning with him. Harrison was funny because he wasn't interested in opening presents at all. Colby on the other hand loved it. He loved the scooter Santa brought him and the blue vacuum he also got. He vacuumed all morning, Santa had the right idea. Thanks Santa!!

Winter Wonderland

I couldn't believe the snow when I woke up this morning, it was really coming down. Colby couldn't wait to get outside and help Cody shovel the driveway. They played out in the snow for a while and had lots of fun.

Christmas Tag/Past Christmas

Colby's First Christmas

Christmas Taggety-Tag

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?

Wrapping paper! I must be really weird because I really enjoy wrapping presents. I actually wrapped presents 2 years at Christmas time for a department store.

2. Real or artificial tree?

I like both! I love how you can have the perfect fake tree and you don’t need to vacuum everyday. Our real trees always seem to be a little like the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. I do love cutting them down and making those memories and there is nothing better than the smell of a real tree.

3. When do you put up the tree?

When I put up the fake tree I put it up the day after Thanksgiving. I love putting up my Christmas stuff and the kids love it.

4. When do you take the tree down?

After New Years

5. Do you like eggnog? No Yuck!!

6. Favorite gift received as a child?I remember getting so many fun presents but one Christmas we all got scooters which was lots of fun. (Guess what Brooke, mine was also purple).

7. Hardest person to buy for?

My dad and Cody’s dad. (When they want something they go and buy it)

8. Easiest person to buy for?

My Mom and Sister. They like anything that I like.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
I actually don’t. I really need to buy one.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?

MAIL! It’s a lot more fun to get them in the mail. Definitely more personable. I don’t always get those out every year.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?

I really haven’t gotten a bad Christmas present.

12. Favorite Christmas movie?

Colby & I love Polar Express. Nothing better than cuddling with Colby on the couch watching the Christmas Train Movie

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?

Usually In November so we don’t go broke trying to buy everything at once.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?

No! I really haven’t

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?

Mom’s homemade candy!

16. Lights on the tree?

I LOVE the bright colored lights. Colby has blue lights on his little tree because that’s his favorite color.

17. Favorite Christmas song?

I like several Christmas Hymns.

18. Travel at Christmas, or stay home?

Definitely stay home!! We went to Disneyland one Christmas and it just wasn’t the same. Even at the Happiest Place on Earth!

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?I guess!! Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph.

20. Angel or star at the top of the tree?
A star

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
We open one present on Christmas Eve which is always Pjs. The rest on Christmas.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year?

Snowy roads and all the crazy people driving on those roads.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?

My favorite color at Christmas is RED.

24. Favorite Christmas dinner?

Ham and all the trimmings

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?

I want my family to have a great Christmas. I can’t wait to see Colby’s face on Christmas morning. This is also Harrison’s First Christmas which is really exciting.

Making Memory's

Christmas tree tag, 10 bucks. Chain Saw, gift from Dad. Cutting down a 12 foot Christmas tree, Priceless! We took a little trip to Idaho Falls last weekend and decided that we needed a live tree for Christmas. As always going in the woods is one of my favorite things to do. We went for a drive up to Swan Valley and found the perfect tree for our house this year. Colby had a great time in the jeep and I think Pauline did too. Colby Says "wow" when the tree falls and "it's too loud" when the chainsaw starts. We all had a good time and the tree survived the 3+ hour drive home.

After 9 years

We are finally feeling a little settled AGAIN. I never would have imagined I would be back in Utah after 9 years. Even though we didn't want to move here we are happy we did it. We had a hard time finding a house but we found one in Saratoga Springs which is only 20 minutes away from Cody's work. It's so nice to be around family. Colby loves having people to play with besides mom and dad. Cody and I love having babysitters around. We can now go out and spend some much need time together. We are excited to be here and we hope that we won't have to move again for a while.

Bigger & Bigger

I can't believe how fast time passes by. I feel like Harrison is growing so fast and it makes me really sad. He's our last baby so I've been trying to enjoy him being little. He's so much fun and I never imagined the excitement and happiness my boys bring me everyday. Harrison isn't crawling yet but he's close. He gets his little bum up in the air and bounces up and down. He still scoots across the floor and gets into things. The other day I was getting him ready for bed and I left him in his room playing for a minute. When I came back I couldn't see him. Then I saw his little leg under his bed. He scooted under there and he thought he was really tricky. Then Colby climbed under there with him and they played for a minute. They are so cute. Cody and I feel so blessed to have them.

Past Halloween

I wanted to post this picture of Colby on his first Halloween because he's adorable. It's fun to dress up the kids. I know i haven't blogged for a while but our lives are very busy right now. We've been here in Boise for two months and we have to move already. Cody is being transferred with Micron to Lehi, Utah. I can't believe it. We are really sad to leave Boise because we just started to feel settled. We are excited to live by family. I grew up in Utah so most of my family still lives there. Cody starts work there on November 10th so we are moving this week. We don't have a place to live yet so we have to put our stuff into a storage unit. We hope to find something soon. We'll keep you posted.

Photo Tagged

Brooke just tagged us!For this tag you find the 5th folder in your pictures, pick the 5th picture in that folder and blog about it. This is a picture of Cody painting Colby's very first room. When we lived in idaho falls we painted the room blue with clouds then had the airplane them through out. We really miss that little house and miss our family in Idaho Falls.

Corn Maze

We went to the corn maze on Saturday and they also had a huge pumpkin patch there. After Cody navigated us through the pumpkin patch we let Colby pick out a pumpkin. Every pumpkin he would pick up was too big but he finally found one he could lift. Then we went on a hayride and enjoyed some delicious homemade donuts. Colby loved the hayride because there was a red tractor pulling the trailer. We all know how much he loves tractors or anything that has a motor. I love this time of year and I can't wait to dress the kids up for Halloween. Colby wants to be Buzz Lightyear and Harrison is going to be a bat. Anyway, the corn maze was a lot of fun.

End of Summer

So we decided to go camping before it got to cold and because we haven't been camping since I was pregnant with Colby. I was really nervous to camp with the kids in a tent but they loved it. It was a little cold but it didn't bother either one of them. We only stayed one night but it was alot of fun. I guess I didn't need to worry about the kids because Colby wanted to stay in the tent again and Harrison is just happy doing anything. Next year we will definitely go camping more.

A Little Bit of Fun

Mickey's House

A few weeks ago we celebrated Cody graduating school by going to Disneyland. It was the second time for Colby but he had more fun this time because he was only one. He went on every ride that we took him on and he loved it. His favorite ride was the Nemo Submarine ride. We went on that twice even though the wait was an hour. Harrison was such an angel the whole trip. He was fascinated with the lights and didn't cry once. When we went to Mickey's House I was a little worried about Colby being scared of him but he was excited to see him and he gave him five. We went with my parents and it was fun to spend time with them. I think they had more fun sharing the whole trip with the kids than us. Colby thought everything was so cool and he was alot of fun. Cody and I went on all the big rides thanks to grandma and grandpa.

FINALLY! Were here in Boise

The New House

It's been a long time since we've blogged because we have been extremely busy. Moving is lots of work but we are very happy to be here. Colby was really sad to leave grandma and grandpa but he is happy to have his toys and bed back. He loves to go outside and ride his bike. He loves having room to run and play. He talks to all the neighbors already. Harrison also loves it here because now he has his own room. Okay, I love him having his own room. I finally get a good nights sleep. Cody started his new job and he says it's pretty boring so far. There are at least 8 computer programs that he has to learn and he still has a few weeks of training until he's on his own. As for me I finally feel like I've got most everything unpacked. We are excited to be here and it already feels like home.

Harrison's Blessing

Harrison Finally got blessed on Sunday. We wanted to wait to bless him in Idaho so more family could come. It was a great day and it was nice to spend it with friends and family.

It's been really hard for me to blog lately because as you know the kids and I are living in Idaho and Cody is still in Denver. It's been really hard on all of us but luckily it won't be to much longer. He has 2 more weeks of school then we are going on a little trip to Disneyland. I think we all need a vacation. We want Cody to know we are so proud of him. We misses him and can't wait to start our new adventure in Boise. Thanks for all you do. We love you.

Family and Friends

I can't believe it but Colby turned 3 yrs old on July 11th. It seems only yesterday I was a new mom and scared to death to take Colby home. He has brought us so much happiness and continues to amaze us everyday. We went to Blast off in the morning to play then later that day we had a party at the park in Idaho Falls. His cousins Haven and Miles came from Utah for his Birthday and Colby had tons of fun with them. He had been asking for a blue big boy bike for a while so for his Birthday he finally got one. When he saw the bike he ran over to it and started riding like a pro. Grandma and Grandpa Silvester gave him a cool Blue helmet to match his bike and he loves it. Sometimes he likes to just wear it around the house. It was a fun day with family and friends. Colby had a great Birthday.

News from us

Well we never thought this time would come. Pauline is living at moms house in Menan while I finish up my last few weeks of school. I am getting the moving truck next week and will move all of our stuff over to Boise. I had an interview with Micron in Boise on Monday and they offered me a job before I left as an equipment technician in their Fab 1 department. I am really excited to get moving on. I graduate with my associates on the 21st of August and begin with Micron on the 8th of September.

Goodbye Thornton Colorado

One of Colby's favorite places to play

Another one of Colby's favorite places to play

Colby now

Colby when we first moved here

We have been very busy packing and it's finally time to say goodbye to the place we've called home for two years. Although I am very happy to be done with apartment living I'm a little sad to leave. I've met so many nice people and we've made lots of memories here with the kids. Cody will still be here living with a friend until August 21st because that's when school ends. Our contract is up on our apartment so we have to leave. The kids and I will be living with my parents until Cody is done with school then we are off to Boise. We are very excited. I don't think Colby really understands that we won't be back here again. I know he will love a yard to play in and more space to run so I hope the move isn't to hard on him. I know it's going to be hard not seeing Cody everyday for a month but I know it will be worth it.

The Holiday Weekend

Grandpa Silvester, Cody, and Colby getting in the raft to float the river

We went to Idaho to visit family for the holiday. We had lots of fun. Colby always loves to go see his grandparents. Cody and Colby went swimming at my mom and dad's house and he loved it. I think he rode on the wheelers about 30times while we were there. On the 4th we went to grandma and grandpa Silvester's RV Park. We took Harrison on his first 4 wheeler ride and Colby went down the river with Cody and grandpa. We had a great time.
