Lovin' the snow

I know most people don't like the snow but in our house we love it. The minute Colby gets home from school he puts his snow clothes on and heads out the door. After the first snow storm he shoveled the front driveway and backyard patio all by himself. We went to Idaho this last weekend and the boys had a blast. Harrison went on the 4-wheeler and played in the Snow. Colby and Cody went up to the RV Park and went on the snow machines and sleds. Uncle Shane, grandpa Silvester, Uncle Matt, and Brenna came up too. Colby also got grandpa Butterfield to pull him around on the sled with the 4-wheeler. We look forward to more snow!

Happenings

Where has my blogging motivation been? It seems like the time just flies by and I don't think about updating it. Summer has come and gone and the kids are growing like weeds. We have been keeping pretty busy lately. Colby has started kindergarten and seems to love it. He is also in soccer twice a week which has been really fun. He is growing so fast and he is such a sweetheart. He recently lost his first 2 teeth on the bottom and he was really excited. The tooth fairy has visited twice in the last week.

Harrison sure keeps me busy. He cut his own hair a few weeks ago with daddy's trimmers and I wasn't too excited about it. It seems like I have a new story about something that he has done every week. It's a good thing he is so cute. He has been adjusting to Colby going to school everyday and he has really been missing him. The older my kids get the busier I get. I love every minute of it. Life is good!

Happy Birthday Colby

We celebrated Colby's 5th Birthday this week. We had a friend party on Friday and the family party followed that night. We had such a great time and we had a lot of family come to celebrate. Both sets of grandparents came from Idaho and Colby felt really special. I can't believe it's already been 5 years since becoming a mom. Colby is such a special little boy. He is definitely a momma's boy but he loves to do boy things. He loves tractors, 4-wheelers, and anything with a motor. He is a sweet heart and also a big tease. We feel so blessed to have him in our family.

Pre School Graduation

So proud of our Colby

Where has the time gone?? I can't believe that Colby graduated from preschool this week. They had a little graduation ceremony and all the kids participated. It was fun to see them sing and tell us their favorite parts of preschool. After the ceremony Mrs. Katie(his teacher) put together a DVD of pictures and music with the kids. Let me tell you I was a mess. I cried and cried! I have a hard time letting Colby grow up. I remember the first day of pre school. He was really nervous and I cried everyday that first week that I took him. After that first week be realized how much fun it was and loved going. He learned a lot and made new friends. He can now read and do some mathematics. He is such a sweet little boy and really smart. I'm so proud of him! It's off to kindergarten next year!!!

Family Vacation

I don't know why it's taken so long to post our vacation but I guess I needed to recover. We had a lot of fun this year for our vacation. We went to California for a week and went to Disneyland, the beach and enjoyed the sunshine. My parents came with us which was nice to have the help. Colby was a lot of fun because this was the first year he could ride on the big rides. I wasn't sure how he would do on the big rides but he loved them. His favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Matterhorn, and Pirates of the Caribbean. He is a little daredevil so I should have known he would rather go on the crazy rides instead of the smaller rides. Harrison was really into the rides and he was cute to watch enjoying himself. The last day there my parents watched the kids then Cody and I spent the day in Disneyland on a date. It was awesome!!!Both boys loved the beach and we spent the day with my aunt Cathy and her family. We had a great time and look forward to some sunshine around here. We can't wait to start camping this summer.

Turning 2

So baby is turning 2 on April 20th!! I can't believe it where does the time go? I'm excited that he is getting older. I know thats probably a little weird but the older he gets the more fun he gets. We had a party for him on Saturday with our family and boy did he feel special. We have an amazing family that love and support our kids so of course he was spoiled. We love that little guy. He is always entertaining us and he adores his brother. He has been so much fun to have in our family.

Easter

We had a really nice Easter weekend. My parents came for the weekend so we had a lot of fun with them. My sister, mom, dad, and I went shopping without the kids which was really nice. My aunt Tammy had her annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday and the kids got tons of candy. They also got a marshmallow gun for their big gift and we all had a marshmallow war. This year Harrison was really into finding the eggs and candy. As soon as he picked up the eggs he wanted to open them then eat the candy. The kids just keep getting more fun every year!

It's been really hard to keep up on the blog the last few weeks. The boys and I have been really sick. We are finally feeling better and we have been getting out of the house a little more. I'm so done with the cold and the snow. We have a muddy mess outside since we didn't have time to put in our yard before winter came and they built a new house next door. It's driving me crazy!! The boys love to go outside and ride their bikes and 4-wheelers. I look forward to the warm weather because my kids would live outside if I let them. They seem to find the mud as soon as they go outside. We are loving our new neighborhood. We look forward to the warm weather so we can enjoy the outside more.

Where does the time go?

Harrison and his cousin Kate

I've been posting a lot of Colby lately so I decided to post some of my other favorite boy. Harrison is 22 months old and he is so much fun. He is always happy and has a smile to match. He is so funny and loves to give us all a hard time. He is a huge tease. Sometimes I think that Brian gave him lessons on teasing before he came to us. He reminds me a lot of Brian sometimes. He makes us laugh all the time and he has definitely got an attitude. He sures likes to drive Colby crazy but they get along really well most of the time. He likes everything that Colby likes. He loves tractors, 4-wheelers, trucks, anything that moves. We sure do love him.

Funny Kid

Colby is growing up so fast and he is so funny. He cracks me up everyday. A few days ago I put on some new slippers that I had bought and Colby had his eye on them. I took them off for a minute and he took them and wouldn't give them back. I finally got them back and I went on with my day. An hour later when I was putting clothes away in the closet Colby came in and shut the door. He turned the lights out and said, "Give me the slippers." He wouldn't turn the lights on or open the door until I handed over the slippers, I couldn't help but laugh. I love my Colby.
